Dr. Uchida’s decades of experience in criminal justice research, planning, and administration have given him the expertise to help organizations create more effective ways to reduce crime.
Through his work at Justice & Security Strategies, he has assisted law enforcement and other agencies in defining problems, developing solutions, and evaluating outcomes to everyday challenges.
His training and knowledge in strategic thinking, governmental relations, technical assistance, rigorous research, evaluation and assessments has led to innovative approaches to reducing gang violence, gun assault, domestic abuse, fraud, and property crime.
Dr. Uchida often begins his work with agencies by evaluating policing programs and then expanding to improve systems, fund and implement projects, train staff, and assess performance so the organizations are better able to respond, solve and prevent crime.
